here we hold it all—
the clamor of living
the dark matters,
the depths and the delight

here we remember
our power,
and our perspective;
relearn that the sweetness
cannot be summoned from strain

and here we see ourselves:
the flaws and the facets,
the fantasies, the forgotten—
we see it all
and we sing to it
with throaty reverence
until all we do is shine
